QUALITY ASSURANCE AT ADAMAS UNIVERSITY

Quality Assurance at Adamas University provides a framework within which its institutions can examine and enhance in the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, to ensure that they achieve this aspiration of excellence.

Quality Assurance has the mandate to develop and implement various guidelines and internal academic audit systems in addition to external assessment and accreditations for continuous quality assurance and enhancement of the University.The University has also established the Internal Quality Assurance Committee which will consider recommendations from different stakeholders for matters relating to the mandate of the Quality Assurance. The quality assurance department works with the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and the Deans to firm up on strengthening Adamas culture and reward our staff & students. It works with charting the roles and responsibilities via an organization chart and a committee’s structure.

To ensure quality culture as the prime concern for Adamas University through institutionalizing and internalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support.

  • To implement international best practices in all areas of work of the University.
  • To develop and implement systems for ensuring a rich learning experience for students, and an intellectually vibrant environment that supports and enhances the academic and administrative performance of the University.
  • To promote measures for self-reflection, peer review, and continuous quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The primary objective of the IQAC is

  • To develop a mechanism to promote conscious, consistent and catalytic action plans to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote institutional quality enhancement and sustenance through the internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of the best practices.

Some of the functions of the IQAC are:

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks;
  • Setting parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty development to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
  • Collection and analysis of feedback from all the stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all the stakeholders;
  • Organization of intra-institutional and inter-institutional workshops and seminars on quality- related themes and promotion of quality circles;
  • Documentation of various programs / activities leading to quality improvement;
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the University for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of the best practices;
  • Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing institutional quality;
  • Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audits along with their follow-up activities; and
  • Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per the guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
